BIT1 2026 IS HERE!
We are proud to announce that the Bit1 Competition will be organized for the ninth time! It’s been a long journey, made possible by all the amazing teams and organizers who have been part of Bit1 over the years.
Last year, Metropolia had the honor of organizing Bit1 2025, and we are happy to continue that journey with Bit1 2026! We’re excited to further develop the competition and make Bit1 2026 the best one yet!
Over the years, Bit1 has played a major role in bringing new, talented developers into the industry. It provides a great platform for students to showcase their games to a professional industry jury and to network with other talented developers.
Registration for Bit1 2026 will open soon, so stay tuned and spread the word!
Here’s a rough schedule of what’s to come:
Registration: opens in January, closes in February
PreBit preliminaries: March (roughly on weeks 10–12)
Bit1 Finale: early April
The PreBit cities are still to be confirmed, but don’t worry! If there isn’t a PreBit city near you, you can always participate in PreBit Online.
And remember: we don’t expect your game to be fully polished, but the core loop must be playable. Also keep in mind that at least 50% of team members must be students. Check out the Rules for more information!
Now it’s time to gather your team, prepare your game, core loop video, and design canvas, to get ready for Bit1 2026! We can’t wait to meet all the new talented teams and give you an experience you won’t forget.
Good luck with your preparations!
