Bit1 2026 has come to an end – thank you all who were part of this year’s Bit1 journey!

What a ride it’s been! This year we held seven PreBits across Finland and had a total of 26 teams participating! Eight amazing teams fought their way to the Bit1 Finale that was once again held in the beautiful Helsinki XR Center.

The finalists of Bit1 2026 were:

🏆 Tervamaja – Gradient

🏆 BrainDigitalized – Neon Dash

🏆 PseudoFlame – AmisDrift

🏆 Team ROBOGRID – ROBOGRID

🏆 Dappal – My Tennis Apocalypse

🏆 Unknown Operations – Terderia

🏆 Lumina – Kindling

🏆 Finborough Games – Blood Red Rebirth

The winning game of Bit1 2026 is My Tennis Apocalypse by Dappal! 🏆 🎾

Team Dappal advanced from PreBit Tampere, and the team has only two members – both from Tampere University of Applied Sciences. These pioneers will receive their Bit1 2026 trophy on the Finnish Game Awards stage, and we can’t wait for the game’s final release!

It’s safe to say the audience agreed with the jury’s decision, as My Tennis Apocalypse was also the audience’s choice this year!

To support the winning game, remember to add My Tennis Apocalypse to your wishlist on Steam!

The Bit1 Finale jury also gave special mentions to the following finalists:

👑 Terderia by Unknown Operations – Most curtiosity-evoking story

👑 Blood Red Rebirth by Finborough Games – Best trailer

This year, we had a total of 25 judges helping us make some very tough decisions. Biggest thank you also to our Bit1 Finale jury; Jaakko Kemppainen, Salla Hiiskoski and Martin Firbacher, as well as all of our PreBit jury members: Jasmin Dahncke, Arto Koistinen, Niina Luostarinen, Antti Veräjänkorva, Emilia Pitkänen, Natasha Skult, Jonne Taivassalo, Barbara Leal, Kim Ordén, Aki Kanerva, Oskar Riekko, Perttu “Borb” Tuovinen, Joni lappalainen, Tony Kihlberg, Sandra Oinasmaa, Matti Männistö, Aissa Nylund, Mikko Österman, Mika Ahlsten, Topias Paasonen, Klaus Kääriäinen and David Vanderheyden.

In the Bit1 Finale, we also had the incredible Michael Hudson as our guest speaker. We got to enjoy Michael’s talk during the jury’s evaluation time, and the topic was Adapt, Improvise & Overcome.

We also want to thank our Bit1 Finale audience. It was wonderful to see so many game enthusiasts giving thoughtful feedback and asking great questions. A huge thank you to all of you!

This year’s Bit1 organizer was Metropolia UAS for the second time in a row, with the support of LGIN, Turbiini, Helsinki XR Center, and the City of Helsinki. A huge thank you to all!

Next year marks the 10th anniversary of Bit1! It’s incredible to see the competition going strong after all these years – we can’t wait to do it all over again! 🏆💗

See you all next year!✨
